At the end of August, Jess, myself and our cat Benni left New York City for the road to our new life in Europe. A one month Italian sabbatical in the deepest swing of summer before heading to our final resting place of Berlin.
The Amalfi coast is bougie beyond its means, but at the same time irresistibly beautiful beyond words. We spent our first 10 days here, not doing a whole lot but tanning in the mornings and eating lemon gelato between every meal. The town of Atrani holds a special place in my heart, it's beach was my favorite with a very laid back local vibe, crystal turquoise waters and away from the ferries that drove tourists into the town of Amalfi. People love Positano, I hated it. It was like a Las Vegas on the water. Instead I'll dream of paninis and olives on hot stones, where old men stand and not sit.
